Job summary

AMMEGA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and keep manufacturing equipment running smoothly at our Franklin Park facility in Illinois.

You will use hand and power tools, read gauges and blueprints, and collaborate with supervisors and peers to ensure safe, efficient operation. This on-site role offers opportunities for hands-on problem solving and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Requires technical/trade training or equivalent experience.
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience in manufacturing and using hand/power tools.
Ability to read measuring devices and blueprints as needed.
Must be legally authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities

Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand and power tools.
Perform routine preventive maintenance to keep machines and building systems running efficiently.
Inspect drives, motors and belts and replace filters per checklists.
Assemble, install or repair wiring, piping and equipment.
Diagnose mechanical/electrical problems using manuals and parts catalogs.
Test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
Record maintenance type and costs.
Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears and other parts.
Dismantle devices to access defective parts.
Identify replacement parts and where to purchase them.
