Job summary
Kennametal Inc. is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance on CNC equipment, lathes, grinders, and plant support systems.
The role requires reading schematics, motor controls, electrical and hydraulic repair, with additional duties like welding, plumbing and fabrication as needed. Eligible candidates should have a maintenance-related certificate and at least 5 years of machine shop maintenance experience.
Qualifications
- Must have a maintenance related certificate of education and /or willingness to attend a maintenance education program approved by supervisor.
- Must have 5 years minimum maintenance experience in a machine shop environment.
- Must be able to perform machine repair in a safe and timely manner to reduce machine downtime.
Responsibilities
- Prepare work area by identifying and addressing any safety issues before proceeding.
- Diagnose and repair production equipment
- Clean-up area after performing a maintenance function
- Diagnose and repair plant support eq. (compressors etc.)

Shift: 1st 7am – 3:30pm
Will perform maintenance functions on CNC equipment, manual lathes and grinders (relay logic), plant support equipment to include compressors, pumps, cooling towers/heat exchanger systems, etc. Will perform many of the plant/Equipment P.M.'s. Must be well versed in reading of schematics, motor controls, electrical and hydraulic repair. Additional duties include occasional welding, plumbing and fabrication.
