Job summary

Kennametal Inc. is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to maintain CNC equipment, lathes and grinders, and plant support systems. The role requires reading schematics, motor controls, and hydraulic repairs, with welding and fabrication as needed.

You will diagnose, repair and PM equipment, ensure safe operations, and minimize downtime across the shop floor. 1st shift 7am–3:30pm; strong safety and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate of maintenance education or willingness to enroll in a supervisor-approved program.
• Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in a machine shop.
• Ability to repair machines safely and promptly to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work area and address safety issues before starting.
• Diagnose and repair production equipment.
• Clean up area after completing maintenance tasks.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.

Maintenance Technician – Senior

Shift: 1st 7am – 3:30pm

Summary

Will perform maintenance functions on CNC equipment, manual lathes and grinders (relay logic), plant support equipment to include compressors, pumps, cooling towers/heat exchanger systems, etc. Will perform many of the plant/Equipment P.M.'s. Must be well versed in reading of schematics, motor controls, electrical and hydraulic repair. Additional duties include occasional welding, plumbing and fabrication.

Experience

• Must have a maintenance related certificate of education and /or willingness to attend a maintenance education program approved by supervisor.
• Must have 5 years minimum maintenance experience in a machine shop environment.
• Must be able to perform machine repair in a safe and timely manner to reduce machine downtime.
