Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to perform semi-skilled maintenance tasks in our community in Charleston, SC. The role includes repairs, grounds maintenance, basic electrical work, and assisting with resident safety and vehicle operations.

A high school diploma or GED and two years of maintenance experience are required. We offer a flexible schedule with weekend and holiday coverage, opportunities for training and career progression, and a 401k with full-time/part-time

Qualifications

• Two years of prior experience in a maintenance position.
• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tools and machines used in the maintenance/building trade.
• Make repairs to building, equipment, and appliances as directed.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine tasks.
• Maintain exterior grounds including landscaping and trash removal.
• Assist with resident safety drills and community vehicle use.
