Job summary

Americare Senior Living in Washington, MO is seeking a Maintenance Team Member to keep our assisted living community safe, functional, and well maintained. You will perform routine upkeep, preventive maintenance, and grounds care while coordinating with community leadership to ensure resident comfort and safety.

We offer a full-time, first-shift position with competitive hourly pay of $18.50–$20.00 and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Basic knowledge of building maintenance, equipment operation, and safety practices
• Ability to work independently and follow maintenance schedules and instructions

Responsibilities

• Maintain buildings and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition
• Perform routine and minor maintenance including painting, plumbing, electrical, wiring, and general repairs
• Maintain furnaces, air conditioners, boilers, and water systems to ensure resident comfort
• Replace air-conditioner filters and complete monthly maintenance checklists
• Assist with disaster preparedness, including fire drills and emergency readiness activities
• Notify management of major repair needs involving lighting, HVAC, plumbing, or building systems
• Remove snow, ice, debris, and hazards from sidewalks and grounds
• Oversee landscaping services and assist with lawn care, trimming shrubs, and flower maintenance as needed
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and appropriately
