Job summary

The Village of St. Edward Communities in Fairlawn, OH is seeking a Maintenance Worker for a full-time role.

The position requires hands-on trade skills and the ability to work independently in a community setting serving residents across nursing care, assisted living and memory care facilities. This not-for-profit employer offers competitive wages based on experience, 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday 7:30am–4:00pm, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical/vision/dental and paid

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Proficient knowledge and skill within most if not all areas: Electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and plastering/drywall/mudding.
• Good standing driving record
• Valid Ohio Driver's license
• Demonstrated ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions.
• Demonstrated skills in building trades such as carpentry, plumbing and electrical.
• Must be able to lift, push and pull 50 lbs. independently and over 75lbs. with assistance.
• Possess and demonstrate the necessary dexterity to separate tools, bolts, operate equipment, buttons, levers, etc.
• Able to work in a confined space.
• Able to work at heightened levels, ladders, etc.
• Well-lighted, well-ventilated rooms and grounds.
• May work in heights and confined areas.
• Must work with residents, families and public courteously and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and related work with general repairs across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and plastering.
• Work independently with little supervision.
• Adhere to safety protocols and assist residents as needed.
