Sagora Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Assistant for Asher Point of Montgomery, 5801 Eastdale Dr, to support the Maintenance Director. This part‑time, night‑shift role covers lighting, plumbing, painting, and general upkeep across the community.

The position requires basic maintenance experience, ability to lift 50–100 lbs, and reliable after‑hours availability. Sagora emphasizes residents first and offers a team‑oriented work environment with benefits.

Qualifications

• 6 months of work experience in a position handling residential maintenance items.
• Thorough understanding of building and fire safety.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language and communicate effectively with residents, family, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders as requested by the Maintenance Director, including changing light bulbs, AC filters, painting, plumbing, light carpentry, sheet rock repairs, and other duties.
• Assist with maintenance of all areas of the community including grounds, fences, parking areas, ditches, community houses, pools, spas, furniture, appliances, HVAC, and lift stations.
• Assist with maintenance of service equipment, power equipment, tools, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain preventive maintenance records and use the work order system to track repairs.
• Conduct daily inspection of building, grounds, and equipment; promote safety and resolve hazards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
