Job summary

DBA-Verwaltungs-Gmbh in Lynchburg, Virginia is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance tasks and support maintenance activities within the Lynchburg Distribution Center.

The ideal candidate should possess strong mechanical and electrical skills, along with three to five years of maintenance experience in an industrial environment. Flexibility in working hours, including overtime and holidays, is expected.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years Maintenance experience in an industrial environment.
  • Fork truck certification required – certification course will be provided after hire-in.
  • Knowledge of fire suppression systems.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks on various office and building equipment.
  • Assist supervisor in coordinating contract work for maintenance and repairs and assist in all projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Schedule and maintain inspection of safety, security, and fire prevention equipment.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory.
  • Perform calibration testing of equipment as necessary.
  • Address issues and maintain the Maintenance Service Request Ticket System.
  • Maintain training up-to-date and compliant with all site and Quality requirements specific to the job.
  • Lead projects and/or work groups.
  • Make sound decisions and use problem-solving tools.
  • Multi-task.
  • Practice good interpersonal skills and work within a team-oriented environment.
  • Maintain working relationships with all site personnel, vendors, and contractors.
  • Be a self-starter and work with minimal supervision.
  • Be able to use Windows-based computer programs.
Scope of Position
  • All maintenance activities of the Lynchburg Distribution Center.
  • Work under general supervision in all areas of the Lynchburg plant and adhere to all governing SOPs and regulations.
  • Expected to work overtime during scheduled weekend work as determined by their supervisor which includes Saturday and/or Sunday and be flexible to work across shifts and holidays as necessary. Available for on-call emergencies.
  • Expected to follow all safety policies procedures and practices including lockout/tagout, waste handling, electrical safety, emergency response, PPE and others.
  • Provide support and oversight of approved vendors and service contractor activities to ensure compliance to procedures and regulations.
