Job summary

Westmont Manor, HRC, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support residents by performing repairs, scheduling contractors, monitoring facility systems, and conducting routine maintenance. This role emphasizes safety, reliability, and hands-on troubleshooting in a care-focused environment.

The ideal candidate has experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and building maintenance, strong organizational skills, and the ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Qualifications

• Experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and general building maintenance.
• Understanding of building and fire safety regulations.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to perform moderate to heavy exertion and lift 50–100 lbs.
• Available for after-hours emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders assigned by the Maintenance Director, including lighting, filters, painting, plumbing, carpentry, and sheetrock.
• Maintain facility areas including grounds, fences, parking areas, furniture, appliances, and HVAC.
• Repair service equipment and power tools; keep kitchen equipment functioning.
• Keep preventative maintenance records and use a work-order tracking system.
• Conduct daily inspections of building, grounds, and equipment; identify safety hazards.
