Job summary

Arcadia Care is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help plan, organize, and direct the maintenance operations of our facility, ensuring safety and comfort for residents and staff.

The role covers repair work on resident property, coordinating with other departments and outside vendors, and supporting safety and fire protection programs to keep the environment secure and well-maintained. Must possess knowledge of boilers, generators, and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Must be knowledgeable of boilers, compressors, generators, etc., as well as various mechanical, electrical & plumbing systems.
• Must be knowledgeable in building codes and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Repair facility/resident property; coordinate maintenance services and activities with other related departments; inspect facility for upkeep and supply control; and coordinate with outside vendors.
• Supervise safety and fire protection and prevention programs; inspect work areas and equipment; and ensure that supplies, equipment, etc., are maintained and utilized to provide a safe and comfortable environment.
