Job summary

Arcadia Care is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support the opening of a new facility. You will assist in planning and directing the Maintenance Department to keep the building safe, comfortable, and well-maintained for residents and staff.

Key duties include coordinating maintenance with other departments and vendors, inspecting for upkeep, and supporting safety programs and proper equipment use to ensure a high standard of living and safety.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school education or equivalent.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Repair facility/resident property; coordinate maintenance services with other departments; inspect facility for upkeep and supply control; coordinate with outside vendors.
• Supervise safety and fire protection and prevention programs; inspect work areas and equipment; ensure supplies and equipment are maintained and used to provide a safe and comfortable environment.
