Job summary

Discovery Behavioral Health is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Crownsville, MD to keep the facility safe, clean, and well-maintained. You will report to the Director of Operations and handle repairs, inventory, and on-call duties.

The role is full-time, on-site, Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm with an on-call rotation, offering compensation in the $21.00–$24.00 hourly range.

Position Summary

Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, clean, well-kept, healthy and adequately supplied environment for clients and staff; under the direction and supervision of the Director of Operations.

Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, clean, well-kept, healthy and adequately supplied environment for clients and staff; under the direction and supervision of the Director of Operations.

Essential Job Functions

• Actively involved with conserving physical assets of the facility, both administratively and residentially.
• Reviews and promptly responds to reports and recommendations as assigned and directed by Director of Operations.
• Monitors day-to-day repairs and maintenance of the facility and reports all housing issues to Director of Operations.
• Perform repairs, painting, small job installs, and other tasks on a timely basis.
• Product knowledge of appliances and warranty information as well as damage costs.
• Accurately organize inventory facility supplies, equipment and tools.
• Submit weekly supply requests to Director of Operations.

Knowledge, Education, & Experience

• High School Diploma
• Ability to handle multiple priorities
• Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication and the ability to facilitate small group presentations and trainings
• Competent in organizational, time management skills
• Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and prioritize task with minimal supervision
