Job summary

Indiana Mills and Manufacturing in High Point, NC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support operations by performing machine maintenance, repairs, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will inspect, maintain, and repair equipment to ensure optimal performance, safety, and minimal downtime while aligning with production schedules.

The role requires hands-on expertise in electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems, plus CMMS proficiency and the ability to read blueprints

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification or associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial, or facilities maintenance.
• Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, schematics, and equipment diagrams.
• Experience operating powered industrial equipment; must pass certification exams.
• OSHA safety training certification required.
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools; welding and fabrication a plus.
• Competence with maintenance software and CMMS; basic computer literacy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; respond to physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to work weekends or on-call shifts.
• Commitment to safety and standards.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize maintenance tasks to reduce downtime and implement preventive measures.
• Communicate maintenance status to supervisors and production teams.
• Install and maintain electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and IT utility systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• Perform preventive maintenance to sustain optimal performance.
• Maintain CMMS records and work orders.
• Assist installation, calibration, and testing of new equipment.
• Coordinate with operations to minimize disruption to schedules.
• Ensure safety and environmental compliance in all tasks.
• Suggest improvements for reliability and efficiency.
• Report deficiencies and needs for replacement.
