Job summary

Somerset Apartments in Largo, FL is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to uphold the safety and integrity of the community. Responsibilities include handling repairs in apartments and common areas, preparing vacants, and coordinating deliveries among staff and residents.

Qualified candidates should have 1+ years in property maintenance, HVAC/CFC-EPA certifications, and a familiarity with plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and pool maintenance.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in property maintenance or equivalent fieldwork.
• HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and pool maintenance experience.
• Must furnish own tools and have transportation to vendors.
• HVAC certified and CFC/EPA certified preferred.
• CAMT preferred; willing to obtain CAMT if requested.
• Must follow OSHA guidelines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to travel to pick up replacement parts.
• Drug and background screening required.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Address resident service and maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Communicates with residents on pending items or status of service requests.
• Keep the property safe and address unsafe conditions immediately.
• Maintain records for preventive maintenance and work orders.
• Ensure all make-ready repairs and services are on schedule.
• Rake, sweep, shovel, and salt property grounds as needed.
• Change locks and keys as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Work hours: 40+ hours a week, evenings, weekends, and on-call.
