Job summary

Somerset Apartments in Largo, FL is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to uphold the safety and functionality of our community. The role involves responding to service requests, performing repairs in apartments and common areas, and maintaining grounds and records.

HVAC knowledge and basic trade skills are essential, with certifications preferred and the ability to travel for parts as needed. The position requires 40+ hours per week, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in property maintenance or related field.
• Hands-on experience with plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC systems, pools, landscaping and cleaning.
• Must furnish own tools and have transportation to vendors.
• Must be HVAC certified and CPO certified preferred.
• CAMT certification preferred; willingness to obtain CAMT if requested.
• Must pass drug and background screening.

Responsibilities

• Address maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
• Communicate status of service requests to residents and staff.
• Maintain property condition and safety.
• Keep records for preventive maintenance, expenditures and make-ready status.
• Complete make-ready repairs on schedule; perform grounds maintenance as needed.
• Assist with deliveries, parts pickup, and equipment purchases.
