Job summary

Vitality Living is hiring a Maintenance Technician at Acclaim at East Beach Community in Norfolk, VA. The role focuses on preventative and routine maintenance, floor care, and assisting residents with moving needs, while coordinating with staff and providers to ensure resident comfort and safety.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, 3–5 years of painting/wallcovering experience, and practical electrical/plumbing skills. On-call duties and emergency readiness are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with routine property maintenance tasks and safety procedures.
• Proficiency in reading and following written work orders and instructions.
• Ability to move furniture and assist residents as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance as directed by supervisor.
• Strip, wax, and buff floors on a scheduled basis and as needed.
• Move furniture and assist residents with moving needs.
• Assist with grounds care such as weeding in summer and snow removal in winter.
• Collaborate with residents, co-workers, physicians, families, and other service providers.
