Job summary

Innospec Performance Chemicals in High Point, NC is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for installing, maintaining and improving process equipment using advanced machine repair and metal fabrication skills. You will troubleshoot from technical drawings and schematics and support a 24-hour operation.

The role requires at least 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting, lockout certification, and strong mechanical or electrical skills including PLC troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably chemical facilities.
• Must obtain lockout certification and wear OSHA approved safety gear.
• Advanced mechanical OR electrical skills (PLC troubleshooting skills preferred).
• Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and follow detailed instructions.
• Strong safety, quality, and customer orientation; able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate machine parts using machine tools and welding equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, inspection, and lubrication.
• Document maintenance activity using the maintenance database.
• Coordinate with engineers and vendors on special projects.
• Support operators, adjustments, setups, and changeovers.
• Participate in improvement teams and drive root-cause analysis.
• Adhere to safety policies; on-call rotation as required.
