Job summary
Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve preprint production equipment. You will support presses, laminators, rewinders, and conveyors to maximize reliability and productivity.
The role requires 3+ years in industrial maintenance, strong troubleshooting in electrical, mechanical, and automation systems, and adherence to safety standards. On-site operations in a manufacturing facility in Chattanooga.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 3+ years industrial maintenance experience preferred.
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Experience with CMMS/work-order systems preferred.
- Welding, fabrication, and machining experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systems.
- Support printing presses, laminators, unwind/rewind systems, conveyors and related equipment.
- Diagnose root causes of downtime and implement corrective actions.
- Complete work orders and maintenance records accurately.
- Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, and all safety procedures.
- Assist with installation, startup, and commissioning of new equipment.
