Job summary
Balchem Corporation in Lincoln, Nebraska is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance, preventative maintenance, repairs and overhauls on facility equipment. The role reports to the Maintenance Manager, with a focus on safety, quality, and timely work in a fast-paced production environment.
The ideal candidate has an electro-mechanical or mechatronics background with 2–3 years of related experience, strong troubleshooting in electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, and
Qualifications
- Associates Degree or College Degree in electromechanical or mechatronics.
- 2–3 years related experience or training.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to read manuals and operating instructions.
- PLC knowledge is a plus.
- Proactive and flexible toward improvement and change.
- Ability to work safely in a production environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate equipment per operation guidelines with safety procedures.
- Monitor manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Keep accurate data and paperwork per Company standards.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area; follow MSS.
- Observe safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
- Attend all training events for personal growth.
- Develop proficiency in production and safety policies.
- Be flexible toward continuous improvement and change.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Adhere to company policies on safety and maintenance.
- Understand accident reporting, PPE, and related procedures.
