Job summary

Balchem is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance, repairs, and overhauls of plant equipment, plumbing, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. You will report to the Maintenance Manager and support safety, quality, and uptime across a food processing facility.

Flexibility to work 2nd or 3rd shift is required. Candidates should have 2–3 years of related experience and an associate or college degree in electromechanical or mechatronics.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or technical training in electromechanical/mechatronics.
• 2–3 years related experience or equivalent training.
• Strong motivation, organization and communication skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend manuals, drawings and procedures.
• Demonstrated punctuality, dependability and teamwork.
• Experience with electrical, electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and overhaul equipment and related plumbing, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic components.
• Record data and ensure paperwork is complete and accurate.
• Keep a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
• Attend training and support continuous improvement efforts.
• Read blueprints/schematics and troubleshoot as needed.
