Job summary

AdventHealth in Tavares, Florida, is seeking a maintenance technician for night shift to perform essential repairs on mechanical systems and facilities. You will troubleshoot, test, and repair equipment, respond to work orders, and maintain accurate maintenance logs in a healthcare setting.

The role requires a High School diploma, 0+ years experience, and the ability to read and interpret safety guidelines. A Driver's License is required, and on-call duties may apply.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Performs essential repairs and other duties as requested. Troubleshoots, tests, and repairs mechanical machinery, equipment, systems, and physical structures as scheduled or needed under general or limited supervision. Responds to in-house work orders and preventive maintenance tasks on a daily basis and in a timely manner. May be required to respond to emergency calls under general supervision. May be required to take call in accordance with facility requirements in a timely manner. Maintains complete and accurate records of all maintenance and repairs, ensuring compliance with healthcare, Federal, State, and Local regulations and standards. Responsible for keeping current on maintenance logs. Other duties as assigned. Replaces sheetrock, tapes and floats, paints all interior and exterior surfaces, and performs minor carpenter work. Applies protective and decorative coats of paint, varnish, lacquer, and related materials to interior and exterior surfaces of buildings, furniture, equipment, and other property. Maintains existing paint surfaces by matching and tinting appropriate paint products. Properly stores, cleans, and disposes of all supplies and equipment used per departmental policies and procedures. Assists in the operation and general maintenance of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, locksmith, and alarm systems.
