Job summary
Petoskey Plastics is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair manufacturing equipment, conduct preventive and reactive maintenance, and troubleshoot PLCs, drives, and control systems. The role requires a technical degree and 5+ years of industri al maintenance experience, with a strong focus on electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, and welding skills.
You will ensure safe, efficient operation, document work orders, and collaborate with a maintenance team to optimize equipment
Qualifications
- Two year technical degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years industrial equipment maintenance experience.
- Proficient knowledge in electrical, mechanical, blueprint reading, hydraulic, pneumatics, arc welding, gas welding and cutting.
- Forklift certification.
- Experience with Epicor or similar maintenance software.
Responsibilities
- Maintain manufacturing equipment and perform preventive and reactive maintenance.
- Work on PLCs and document activities in the work order system.
- Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to root cause.
- Read schematics and ladder logic to diagnose problems.
- Assist with PM planning and parts management.
- Set up and adjust drives and PID loops.
- Train operators on basic equipment operation when needed.
