Job summary

vitrocareers is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the Maintenance Department. The incumbent provides technical assistance across Maintenance, Engineering, Production and Quality Control to resolve equipment or process problems, and supports coordination, oversight, and training as assigned.

The role requires a two-year technical degree in Industrial Maintenance (or related) and 2+ years of maintenance experience; up to 5 years preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; two-year technical degree preferred.
• Two years of maintenance technician or related experience required; five years preferred.
• Experience with PLCs, robotics, and plant electrical systems is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to Maintenance, Engineering, Production and Quality Control to resolve equipment or process problems.
• Assist with coordination, job oversight, work assignment, design, engineering, and problem analysis.
• Write work orders and procedures to correct malfunctions or improve equipment and processes.
• Train maintenance and production staff on new or modified equipment and plant technologies.
• Recommend spare parts and inventory levels; work with Storeroom on stock control.
• Assist in specifying, designing or programming maintenance related items and standards.
• Perform general maintenance tasks and participate in plant teams and meetings.
• Maintain knowledge of plant equipment and processes and ensure safety and confidentiality.
