Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for a direct hire opportunity in Roselle, IL to maintain and repair high-speed production equipment, packaging machinery, and facility utility systems. The ideal candidate has strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, experience with PLCs and AC/DC drives, and is committed to safe, efficient manufacturing operations.

The role offers first shift hours (7:00 AM–3:30 PM), with overtime based on production needs.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience troubleshooting PLCs and AC/DC drive systems.
Strong electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read electrical schematics and technical manuals.
Experience performing preventive maintenance.
CMMS experience.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and respond to emergency repairs.

Responsibilities

Perform planned, preventive, and emergency maintenance on production and packaging equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled equipment and AC/DC drive systems.
Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and utility system issues.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical manuals, work orders, and equipment documentation.
Complete preventive maintenance inspections and document all work in the CMMS system.
Support manufacturing systems including lubrication, resin delivery, and utility/process equipment.
Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders promptly.
Assist with maintenance parts inventory and report low stock levels.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance shop and work area.
Follow OSHA regulations, LOTO procedures, Arc Flash requirements, GMPs, MSS, and Standard Operating Procedures.
Communicate equipment issues effectively with production, supervisors, and maintenance team members.
Identify Critical Control Points (CCPs) and support food safety initiatives.
