Job summary

Shearer’s Foods is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep production equipment running in a continuous improvement setting. You will install, repair, and maintain machinery, perform preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.

The role requires 3 years of manufacturing experience, strong mechanical and hydraulic/pneumatic skills, and familiarity with PLC systems. Work is in a manufacturing facility with safety and quality emphasis.

Qualifications

• 3 years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience; experience with mechanical systems and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Ability to work within an integrated operating enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Maintains efficiency of machinery and equipment in a continuous improvement environment.
• Sets up, installs, repairs, and maintains production equipment and machinery.
• Inspects equipment for proper functioning and performs preventative maintenance.
• Diagnoses equipment malfunctions and makes repairs or adjustments.
• Performs routine maintenance and uses variety of tools to service equipment.
• Reads manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance.
• Ensures safety regulations are followed and work areas are clean.
