Job summary

Shearer's Foods is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep production machinery running efficiently in a high‑volume snack manufacturing environment. The role focuses on installing, repairing, and maintaining equipment, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards across shifts.

Qualified candidates will have a craft apprenticeship or equivalent experience, plus 3 years of manufacturing maintenance expertise including hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and PLC skills.

Qualifications

• Completion of a craft apprenticeship or equivalent production maintenance experience preferred.
• 3 years of manufacturing experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and PLC skills.
• Experience reading mechanical drawings and troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain production machines and plant equipment.
• Perform scheduled maintenance during machine service.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
• Read and interpret manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance.
• Diagnose problems, replace parts, and test repairs.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas.
