Job summary

Hunter Douglas, Inc. is seeking a maintenance technician to perform routine maintenance on production equipment, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical malfunctions, and assist in building new equipment according to blueprints.

The role requires hands-on experience with PLCs, HVAC maintenance, electrical wiring, reading blueprints and schematics, plus strong communication to coordinate with operators. The company offers competitive pay and benefits, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Two years technical trade school and four years practical experience, or six years practical experience in maintaining disciplines.
• Prior PLCs, PLC programming, and ladder logic experience.
• HVAC maintenance and electrical wiring experience.

Responsibilities

• Responds to work orders describing electrical or mechanical problems on production equipment.
• Performs preventative maintenance on production equipment per schedule.
• Wires electrical systems and reads blueprints/schematics for assembly and repair.
• Writes or revises PMs for equipment.
• Maintains clean shop area and handles repair parts inventory.
• Communicates with operators and engineers to ensure safe, efficient operation.
