Job summary

SoGo Packaging, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance and repair on plant equipment, ensuring uninterrupted operations. The role requires trouble-shooting electrical and mechanical systems, welding, and experience with boilers, HVAC, and ammonia compressors.

Candidates should be able to work in extreme environments, communicate effectively, and support the maintenance supervisor in daily activities. On-site position with potential extended hours and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial maintenance with mechanical and electrical repair skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical/electrical systems quickly.
• Experience with welding, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Familiarity with electrical controls, VFDs and PLCs.
• Comfort working in extreme temperatures and noisy environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair mechanical equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance including lubrication, inspection, and adjustments.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and electrical controls; repair pumps and systems.
• Ensure safety and compliance with food safety and company policies.
• Work extended hours and weekends as needed.
• Keep work area clean and document maintenance activities.
