Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician at the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI. The role focuses on troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

You will work with a maintenance supervisor, coordinate with production and vendors, and use PLC/electrical diagnostic skills to address day-to-day issues while expanding your technical knowledge in a growing company.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED, or 2+ years of related technical experience.
• 2+ years of facilities/machine maintenance experience.
• Overtime and late-shift work may be required to return equipment to service.
• Must be available to work all shifts.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems up to 600V.
• Work from ladders and lifts with fall protection.
• Own basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems/components.
• Report to maintenance operations supervisor and coordinate with production and vendors.
• Work on day-to-day issues and evaluate new technologies/methods.
• Collaborate with others and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Follow procedural compliance and engineered procedures; expand knowledge base.
