Job summary

Buckeye Corrugated, Inc. (BCI) seeks a Maintenance Technician to maintain plant machinery and facilities in a manufacturing environment. The role involves preventative maintenance, inspections, and basic repairs across conveyors, presses, and related equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent, and may hold a Mechanical Journeyman or technical certificate with welding certifications as a plus. A safety-focused, independent worker is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical Journeyman or Technical/Vocation Certificate preferred.
• Welding certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow established safety rules, policies and procedures at all times.
• Perform installation or relocation of machinery and equipment as needed.
• Schedule and complete preventative maintenance, inspections, calibrations, safety checks, and component repairs/replacements.
• Follow safety rules including lockout/tagout, guarding and machine guidelines during maintenance and cleaning.
• Assess machines for proper guarding and safeguards.
• Perform facility maintenance including plumbing, electrical, and structural work.
• Ensure maintenance needs are completed on time.
• Purchase parts within spending authority and ensure quality and cost savings.
• Design, fabricate, and construct devices and fixtures.
• Remain current in training and keep work area neat and orderly.
• Monitor all job functions to align with safety policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Full-time role in a manufacturing plant/warehouse setting.
