Buckeye Corrugated, Inc. (BCI) is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair machinery and the facility in a manufacturing plant environment located in Indianapolis. The role requires performing preventative maintenance, safety compliance, and basic facility repairs.

Key duties include installing or relocating equipment, housekeeping of the work area, and ordering parts within authority to ensure cost savings. Welding experience and mechanical certifications are valued for this role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical Journeyman or Technical/Vocation Certificate preferred.
• Welding certifications a plus.
• Ability to read/interpret instructions, specs, reports and manuals.
• Ability to interpret complicated drawings.

Responsabilités

• Follow established safety rules, policies and procedures at all times.
• Perform installation or relocation of machinery and equipment.
• Schedule and complete preventative maintenance incl. inspections, calibrations, safety checks and component replacement.
• Follow all safety rules including lockout/tagout, machine guarding and related guidelines.
• Assess machines to ensure guarding and safeguards exist.
• Perform maintenance on facility (plumbing, electrical, structural)
• Ensure maintenance needs are completed timely.
• Purchase parts within spending authority, ensuring quality and cost savings.
• Design, fabricate, and construct devices and fixtures.
• Remain current in all training areas and keep workspace neat.
• Monitor job functions to match safety policies.
