Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities is seeking a part-time Maintenance Technician to assist the Maintenance Manager in keeping the community and physical plant safe, clean, and operational. You will respond to resident requests, perform electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, and structural repairs, and handle exterior tasks such as irrigation and roof maintenance.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, plus a certificate or training with some related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year certificate from college or technical school; or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks with strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate with residents and families and work with contractors.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident and family requests for maintenance assistance.
• Follow directions to perform electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, and structural repairs.
• Work outside on exterior tasks including irrigation, vegetation, pool maintenance (if applicable), hardscape surfaces, and roofing.
