Job summary

Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform skilled work maintaining facility buildings, systems and equipment under the supervision of the Plant Operations Director.

Responsibilities include proactive maintenance, safety testing and documentation across designated systems, with occasional assignments at the Cedar Ridge Bethany location. UHS emphasizes comprehensive benefits and professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associates degree from a college or technical/trade school preferred.
1–3 years of experience in HVAC, automotive repair, maintenance, plumbing, electrical & construction preferred.
2 years of experience in facility maintenance preferred.

Maintain all facility buildings, properties, systems and plant equipment.
Perform proactive maintenance, safety checks, testing and documentation of systems.
Assist with maintenance at the Cedar Ridge Bethany location as needed.

Responsibilities

Under the general supervision of the Plant Operations Director, the Maintenance Technician performs skilled work relating to the maintenance of all facility buildings, properties, systems, and plant equipment.

Performs proactive maintenance, safety, and operational testing and documentation of all designated systems and equipment. Interacts with a wide variety of personnel in all departments of the company.

Position assists with maintenance functions at the Cedar Ridge Bethany location as needed.

Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital (a UHS facility) Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital provides inpatient and residential treatment services for youth ages 5-17, as well as inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services for adults ages 18+. Our treatment programs provide a structured and supportive treatment environment that promotes self-acceptance and helps stabilize patients suffering from acute psychiatric illness. Our multidisciplinary treatment teams consist of psychiatrists, licensed therapists and highly specialized nurses who collaborate to develop and implement effective and compassionate treatment plans for our patients. Cedar Ridge is a behavioral health facility that encompasses a 206-bed acute psychiatric hospital and residential treatment center on a beautifully wooded campus with a stocked pond, school, gym, outdoor courtyard and playground. Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required
Associates degree from a college or technical/trade school preferred
One (1) to Three (3) Years of experience in the Fundamentals of HVAC, Automotive Repair, Maintenance, Plumbing, Electrical & Construction preferred
Two (2) Years of experience in facility maintenance preferred

Additional Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age, required
Successfully complete a drug test
Successfully pass national background check
Valid Drivers License required
Must be able to work 8 hours day, standing and walking for prolonged periods
May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours
Maintain a clean environment for patients at all times
Exposure to psychiatric patients who may exhibit violent/aggressive behavior
Potential for exposure to communicable diseases, blood/body fluids and other hazardous waste
