AdventHealth in DeLand, FL is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to support plumbing, HVAC, electrical, locksmith, and alarm systems. The role includes maintaining records, responding to emergencies, and training staff in maintenance tasks.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license. This position operates in a day shift in a faith-based healthcare setting with comprehensive benefits.

Responsabilidades

• Assists in operation and general maintenance of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, locksmith, and alarm systems.
• Stores, cleans, and disposes of all supplies per policies and procedures.
• Applies protective and decorative coatings to surfaces.
• Maintains paint surfaces by matching and tinting.
• Keeps maintenance logs and documentation current.
• Responds to emergency calls per facility protocols.
• Provides on-the-job training to staff.
• Supports development of new processes or services.
• Responds to in-house work orders and preventive maintenance tasks daily.
• Troubleshoots and repairs machinery and systems.

Job Description:

• Assists in the operation and general maintenance of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, locksmith, and alarm systems.
• Properly stores, cleans, and disposes of all supplies and equipment used per departmental policies and procedures.
• Applies protective and decorative coats of paint, varnish, lacquer, and related materials to interior and exterior surfaces of buildings, furniture, equipment, and other property.
• Maintains existing paint surfaces by matching and tinting appropriate paint products.
• Keeps current on maintenance logs and documentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Maintains complete and accurate records of all maintenance and repairs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and standards.
• May be required to respond to emergency calls and take call in accordance with facility protocols.
• Provides on-the-job skills training to staff.
• Supports and contributes to the development of new processes, products, or services.
• Responds to in-house work orders and preventive maintenance tasks on a daily basis in a timely manner.
• Troubleshoots, tests, and repairs mechanical machinery, equipment, systems, and physical structures as scheduled or needed under limited guidance.

• Extensive knowledge of various paints, chemicals and combinations available for use [Required]
• Able to communicate in English [Required]
• Must have the ability to document records neatly and accurately [Required]
• Ability to generate requisitions for materials and supplies [Required]
• Ability to assign priority and teams in a timely manner [Required]
• Ability to instruct others as per blueprints and work from sketches [Required]
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form [Required]
• Ability to read, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals [Required]
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exist [Required]
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volumes [Required]
• Knowledge of safe handling tools and equipment [Required]
• Basic Microsoft office computer skills [Required]

Education:

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
• Bachelor's [Preferred]

Work Experience:

• 3+ work experience [Required]
• 2+ healthcare experience [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Driver's License (DL) [Required]
