Job summary

Village Realty OBX is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure vacation homes are well-maintained and guest-ready. You will troubleshoot, repair, and perform routine upkeep while coordinating with team members and third-party providers.

The role involves frequent travel between properties and potential after-hours emergencies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and customer-service minded, with the ability to handle overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed to keep properties

Qualifications

• Must be highly organized with a keen eye for detail.
• Reliable, able to meet deadlines, and a team player.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for appliances, basic HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance tasks and projects, traveling between multiple worksites each day.
• Respond to guest maintenance issues, including appliance and cable/WiFi troubleshooting, basic HVAC, plumbing and electrical repairs.
• Paint, clean, and troubleshoot repairs inside homes.
• Perform drywall and basic carpentry work.
• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with team members and management, and assist as needed.
• Assist with ground maintenance and upkeep; participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.

Position Summary

As a Maintenance Technician at Village Realty, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our vacation homes are well-maintained and provide a welcoming environment for our guests. Your keen eye for detail, ability to troubleshoot and repair various issues, and strong work ethic will be instrumental in delivering exceptional service. You will collaborate closely with your team members and management to address maintenance needs promptly and efficiently, while also contributing to the overall upkeep of the properties. You will also coordinate and collaborate with third-party service providers, attend team meetings, and be open to other responsibilities as assigned - because every day looks different!

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance tasks and projects, traveling between multiple worksites each day.
• Respond to guest issue regarding maintenance, as needed including but not limited to:Appliance troubleshootingCable/Wifi troubleshootingBasic HVAC repairLight plumbingBasic electrical knowledge.
• Paint, clean, and troubleshoot repairs inside homes.
• Drywall, and basic carpentry skills.
• Establish and maintain open, collaborative relationships with team members and management team and assist the team when necessary.
• Assist with ground maintenance and upkeep.
• Handle on-call responsibilities for after hour's emergencies on a rotating basisEnsure follow through on assigned maintenance tasks using in-house assignment system and respond to time-sensitive maintenance needs.

• The ability to follow-up and follow through with assigned tasks, seeing projects through to completion.
• Self-motivated and customer service oriented.
• Ability to regularly lift over 20 lbs.
• Applicants must have reliable transportation.
• Applicants must have a valid driver's license and insurance.
• All applicants will be required to a background screening.
• Applicants must be willing and able to work overtime for emergency calls which may include weekends, holidays and after hours.

Compensation & Benefits
