Job summary

Aerotek in Bethlehem, PA is seeking a Multi-Crafted Maintenance Technician for a contract-to-hire arrangement. You will install, repair, and maintain plant machinery in a industrial environment, focusing on preventative maintenance and troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.

The role requires PLC troubleshooting, ability to read schematics, and hands-on maintenance across equipment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with high voltage 480-volt equipment preferred.
• Skilled reading electrical prints and schematics.
• Hands-on maintenance on industrial machinery.
• Familiar with PLC control systems.

Job Title: Multi-Crafted Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Maintenance Technician installs, repairs, and maintains plant machinery and equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment. This role focuses on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain plant machinery and industrial equipment across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Identify and diagnose equipment issues and implement effective corrective actions in a timely manner.
• Troubleshoot industrial electrical systems, including PLC-controlled equipment, to restore proper operation.
• Ensure all electrical systems operate safely and comply with applicable safety codes and standards.
• Conduct mechanical and electrical maintenance, including minor welding and fabrication when required.

Essential Skills

• Strong understanding and troubleshooting skills in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Industrial electrical experience, including working with high-voltage systems such as 480-volt equipment (preferred).
• Ability to install, program, and support electrical systems, including reading and interpreting electrical prints and schematics.
• Hands-on experience with preventative maintenance and repair of industrial machinery.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment and basic PLC control systems.
• Experience within industrial maintenance, service, and repair within a manufacturing or production facility.
• Experience with industrial hydraulics and pneumatics, including troubleshooting and repair.
• Practical knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and basic PLC control logic in an industrial setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bethlehem, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $31.00/hr.
