Job summary

Madison Communities in Savannah, GA is hiring a Maintenance Technician to keep our apartment communities safe, functional, and inviting for residents. This on-site, full-time role covers painting, plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, carpentry, and general upkeep, with a strong focus on responsive tenant service.

You'll work with vendors on projects, prioritize safety, and maintain organized tools and spaces while delivering reliable, quality maintenance that supports residents feeling at home.

Qualifications

• HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and mechanical systems knowledge.
• Positive, proactive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Team-oriented with strong communication skills.
• 1+ year of maintenance experience (multifamily preferred).
• Certifications in HVAC, EPA, or CPO are a plus.
• Must be at least 18 with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Providing outstanding customer service to residents and teammates
• Handling day-to-day maintenance including painting, plumbing, electrical fixtures, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs
• Responding quickly and professionally to service requests
• Ensuring apartments are safe, functional, and move-in ready
• Working with vendors on specialized projects like landscaping and asphalt repairs
• Keeping tools, equipment, and work areas safe and organized
