Job summary

Liberty Point Behavioral Healthcare, a 42-bed residential treatment facility, is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a full-time role. This position supports preventive maintenance, safety programs, and facility operations across hospital departments, with on-call weeks and on-site responsibilities.

Responsibilities include repairs, inspections, and maintenance of HVAC, water systems, wastewater, fire protection, and emergency generators; on-call duties with incentive; and comprehensive

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must complete and pass a pre-hire drug screen and pre-hire background checks.
• Must possess a Virginia Driver's License in good standing.
• Must be able to meet all training requirements.
• Must possess physical stamina to stand the majority of shift and to lift and move equipment and supplies.
• Physical demands include dexterity, good vision, ability to walk, stoop, bend and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs and preventive maintenance on facility systems and equipment.
• Performs scheduled visual general inspection, checks, and tests on HVAC, Water, Wastewater Treatment, Fire Protection Systems, and Emergency Generator System.
• Solicits contractor assistance as necessary.
• Inspects, services, and schedules maintenance in support of the facility's vehicle fleet.
• Maintains and upkeeps facility buildings and grounds.
• Responds to customer work requests in a timely manner.
• Responds to emergency calls and renders appropriate assistance.
• Documents activities and outcome results.
• Practices good safety habits.
• Uses good judgment and problem-solving skills to render cost-effective services.
