Job summary

Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services is seeking an Experienced Maintenance Technician to uphold facility, equipment, and grounds standards. The role requires HVAC experience, basic computer skills, and a valid NC driver’s license. Daily duties include minor repairs, safety checks, and assisting in housekeeping and grounds tasks.

The candidate should be reliable, able to follow instructions, and available to respond to emergencies including weekends. Background checks are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid NC Driver’s License.
• Knowledge of general maintenance and HVAC experience is required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use trouble‑shouting or work order software.
• Must be able to respond to maintenance calls on weekends.
• Willing to work odd hours for emergencies.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions.
• Neat appearance and good personal hygiene.
• Knowledge of turning off main power, water, and/or gas supplies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facility, grounds and equipment as described.
• Perform minor repairs and assist with hazard prevention.
• Monitor whirlpool lift and service as needed.
• Lubricate wheelchair components and perform minor repairs.
• Clean equipment and monitor bedrails for safety and level surfaces.
• Assist with hanging pictures, TV connections, and room setup for patients.
• Inspect and maintain roof, downspouts, and maintenance shop cleanliness.
• Repair sheetrock and perform carpentry, electrical and plumbing tasks as needed.
