Job summary

SPS Companies, Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team in Texas. You will inspect, repair, and maintain facility equipment and grounds, ensuring uptime and safety across shifts.

The role requires hands-on experience with material handling equipment, electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics, plus the ability to read drawings and follow OEM specifications. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three years of related maintenance experience.
• Detail-oriented with strong observational skills.
• Ability to read and understand prints, documents, and drawings.
• Knowledge of electricity, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanics.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Safety Orientation.
• Ability to read and understand maintenance manuals.

Responsibilities

• Attend all scheduled safety, department, and company meetings as required.
• Repair, service, and inspect facility equipment and property.
• Maintain and organize a clean maintenance shop.
• Keep detailed maintenance records in SAP PM.
• Comply with SPS policies and OSHA guidelines affecting maintenance.
• Procure parts and supplies to ensure equipment uptime.
• Train and coach new Maintenance personnel.
• Maintain expenses for the department within budgetary guidelines.
