Job summary

The Carroll Companies seeks a Beginner Maintenance Technician for our High Point, NC properties. You will perform a variety of maintenance tasks to preserve property value, respond to service requests, and prepare vacant units for market-ready status.

The role requires a customer‑focused approach and professional communication with residents. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, 0–2 years in maintenance, and a willingness to obtain a CPO within 60 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0 years general maintenance experience.
• CPO preferred or must obtain within 60 days of employment.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record and auto insurance.
• On-call rotation participation required.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks to maintain and enhance property value.
• Handle service requests from residents and prepare vacancies for market-ready status.
• Represent the company professionally and provide excellent customer service.
• Respond to after-hours emergency calls when on-call.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Trade school or military training a plus

CPO certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days
