Burlington Capital Properties is now accepting applications for a Maintenance Technician position in Omaha, NE.

**Position Overview:**

We pride ourselves on providing a quality living experience to our residents. We are seeking individuals with demonstrated abilities in leadership, maintenance, repairs, and customer service. Maintenance team members are responsible for protecting and improving the property's appearance and maintenance. We value supervisors who understand their impact on the property's success and resident retention.

**Work Hours:**

8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with an “on call” requirement for emergency maintenance during weekends and evenings.

**Essential Job Functions:**

1. Perform interior and exterior repairs to maintain apartments, common areas, buildings, and grounds.
2. Clean common areas and units during turn-over processes.
3. Communicate regularly with supervisors regarding service requests and unit readiness.
4. Prepare vacant units to make-ready status.
5. Inspect work performed by outside contractors.
6. Maintain exterior areas to ensure high curb appeal.
7. Follow all relevant health and safety codes, laws, and standards.
8. Inspect common areas for proper functioning and cleanliness.
9. Participate in resident functions as requested.
10. Be available on an “on call” basis for emergencies.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:**

• High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record required.
• HVAC certification preferred.
• 1-2 years of maintenance or related experience required.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and general building trades.
• Ability to follow directives with minimal supervision.
• Effective communication skills in English.
• Positive interaction with residents, staff, vendors, and the public.
