Amberwoods of Farmington in Farmington, CT is seeking an excellent Maintenance Assistant to join our care-focused team.

You will perform repairs, preventative maintenance, and small renovations in a skilled nursing facility and related buildings. The position is full-time, on site with typical 40-hour weeks and on-call hours, paid at $24 per hour, with a benefits package including health and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• 1 year of maintenance experience in skilled nursing facility or apartment building.
• Very organized.
• Fast worker.
• Excellent customer service.
• Good communicator.
• Good at using technology – apps, programs, TV programming, etc
• Dependable with attendance.
• Pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Completes repairs in the facility timely and properly, including minor plumbing, limited electrical, wall repairs, minor mechanical and minor equipment repairs.
• Completes preventative maintenance tasks as directed, per schedule
• Works on small renovation projects as needed
• Performs room changes
