Job summary
Acacia Care Rehab and Nursing Center in West Orange, NJ is seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician to help keep the facility safe, clean, and well‑functioning for residents, staff and visitors.
The role covers daily work orders, basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC tasks, with weekend availability and a competitive hourly pay of $21–$25.

Qualifications
- 2+ years in maintenance or related field.
- Experience removing wallpaper and finishing drywall.
- Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
- Comfortable using hand and power tools.
- Basic computer skills.
- Must be available to work weekends as needed.
Responsibilities
- Complete daily maintenance work orders promptly.
- Perform basic plumbing, electrical and building repairs.
- Inspect building and identify maintenance needs.
- Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Handle carpentry, painting, flooring, and repair projects.
- Replace HVAC filters and assist with HVAC maintenance.
- Operate hand and power tools safely.
- Respond to maintenance requests from residents and staff.
- Maintain grounds and ensure safety.
- Follow safety procedures and facility policies.
