Job summary

Niagara Bottling in Indiana is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the nights 2-2-3 schedule to keep equipment uptime through hands-on troubleshooting and repair of production lines including injection molders, blow molders, fillers/cappers, labelers, case packers, conveyors, palletizers, and stretch wrappers.

You will also maintain facilities and auxiliary equipment such as chillers and water treatment systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in a maintenance environment with hands-on repair.
• Strong communication across departments and safety-conscious.
• Ability to read schematics for electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Proficiency with basic shop tools and precision measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Maintenance Technician – Nights 2-2-3 Schedule ($7,500 Sign‑On Bonus)

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring equipment uptime through timely, in‑depth troubleshooting and repair. The technician performs troubleshooting and repair of all production equipment including injection molders, blow molders, fillers/cappers, labelers, case packers, conveyors, palletizers, and stretch wrappers. Additionally, the technician performs maintenance on facilities and auxiliary equipment such as chillers, air compressors, Reverse Osmosis, other water filtration equipment and general plant maintenance.

Essential Functions

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics, technical drawings and testing equipment.
• Repair equipment, fixtures, systems, conveyors, and other plant equipment.
• Modify, lubricate, diagnose, and operate equipment in accordance with Niagara’s defined processes.
• Maintain industrial control systems.
• Work independently and with other team members to complete repairs in a safe and timely manner.
• May fill in for production operator as needed.
• Create and report repairs throughout shift; complete required work order paperwork, documenting parts and material usage.
• Understand and follow plant safety rules including safe lifting practices and safe machine operation.
• Personal Protective Equipment is to be used where required.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance to ensure equipment and facility uptime.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a field or similar maintenance environment; 4 years in position; 4 years managing people/projects.
• Experience may include a combination of work experience and education.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and resolve issues across multiple departments.
• Basic experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Effective communication of issues and solutions to cross‑functional team members.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics: electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic.
• Skilled in the use of shop equipment such as hydraulic and mechanical presses, bench grinder, drill press, mill and lathe, and assorted power tools.
• Proficient with precision‑measuring equipment such as calipers, dial indicators, bore gauges, and depth gauges.
• Willingness to be a technical leader and trainer within a specific area of plant or machine center; must have own toolbox and basic tools.
• Preferred qualifications: 6 years of experience in field or similar manufacturing environment; 6 years in position; 6 years managing people/projects; experience in high‑speed manufacturing, bottling, beverage, packaging, or plastics industries; experience with technologies such as VFD, servo drives, rotary equipment, thermodynamics, Krones, Sidel, Husky, HVAC; skills in electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics; fabrication capabilities; experience with PLCs and communication systems.

Education

• Minimum: High School Diploma.
• Preferred: Associate’s Degree in manufacturing, manufacturing technology, mechatronics, industrial manufacturing, manufacturing automation or related specialization.
