Pregis LLC is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to perform a wide range of repairs and preventive maintenance on converting, printing, and extruding equipment, plus related machinery. The role emphasizes analytical thinking, resourceful problem solving, and collaboration across departments.

You will troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems, source spare parts, and support plant operations with safe, reliable maintenance practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with technical aptitude preferred.
• Welding/Fabricating experience and machining (lathes/mills) is desirable.
• Ability to read procedures, safety rules, and maintenance manuals.

Responsibilities

Summary of Job

Perform a wide variety of skilled maintenance work on our converting, printing, andextruding equipment, and various other ancillary equipment, as well as general repairs tobuilding and grounds. Emphasis on Good analytical skills and ability to sourceother/outside resources to resolve issues, troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronicand mechanical problems, repairing and replacing faulty components or parts, installingnew machines and equipment, performing Preventive Maintenance on equipment,maintaining parts and supplies inventories. This position will be responsible for supporting the plant by maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and modifying mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical equipment. Including PLC, DCS and multiple systems.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Emphasis on good safe work practices and familiarity with safety procedures.

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic systems and control circuits.
• Abilityto solve mechanical problems, repair and replace faulty components or parts, install new machines and equipment, perform Preventive Maintenance on equipment, maintain parts and supplies inventories.
• Perform reactionary maintenance (i.e., repair machines, equipment, etc., whenrequired, as such goes down).
• Preventive maintenance can carry out tasks and responsibilities associated withmaintenance of equipment, building and grounds, etc.
• Plan and carry out tasks and responsibilities associated with special projects onexisting or new equipment or facilities.
• Assumes responsibility for managing projects assigned.
• Sources products and materials and obtains pricing for maintenance purchases.
• Accountable for parts inventories relative to own needs and replenishing.
• Perform most types of tool & die and fixture jobs.
• Miscellaneous duties, projects and responsibilities as assigned.
• Works well within a small team to solve collective problems.
• Proactively reaches out across departments to collaborate.
• Encourages teamwork with all department and/or facility members.
• Communicates well with fellow department and/or facility members.

Required Education, Experience and Qualifications

• High School diploma, or GED equivalent; Prior experience in a Machine repair and maintenance Department, or technically oriented position desired.
• Welding/Fabricating.
• Machining, Lathes, and Mills.
• Understanding of machine control systems, and electrical schematics
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Use Office software and enter work orders in our CMMS software.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.

Physical Environmental Demands

This position requires the following on-the-job time performing physical activities:

• Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, crouch.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
• Ability to reach and lift to 50 pounds.
• Ability to endure elevated temperature levels.

Position Type

• Full time.
• Shift work: 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, on a 2,2,3 rotating schedule.
• Overtime expected per business demand.
