Job summary

PPG is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Mojave, CA to ensure that quality products are available when customers need them. You will perform maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs on equipment and systems, including ordering and installing replacement parts.

Position requires lifting 50 lb, willingness to work overtime, and 1–5 years of experience with basic electrical skills preferred. Salary ranges reflect hourly compensation with weekend and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 lb on a consistent basis.
• Overtime may be required as necessary.
• Basic electrical experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine and perform required maintenance (cleaning, lubricating, aligning/adjusting parts, calibrating, etc.).
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair machines and equipment; order/install replacement parts.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (mechanical, electrical).
• Evaluate and recommend equipment improvements to improve availability, capability and yield.
• Perform equipment failure analyses (including preventive and unscheduled maintenance).
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems; prepare technical reports documenting modifications and procedures.
