• 3–5 years’ maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to interpret procedure manuals, blueprints, schematics.
• Ability to use precision measuring devices such as amp meters, electric meters, and hydraulic gauges.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work maturely and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Follow all work instructions and safety policies, including use of PPE and safety equipment.
• Install plate changeovers and start-up machines as production needs.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on production equipment and machinery.
• Repair basic mechanical components and replace parts (bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges, switches).
• Observe devices in operation to locate causes of problems.
• Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts.
• Lubricate and clean machinery to maintain housekeeping and maintenance standards.
• Document and track changeover times and record results.
• Complete work orders to improve safety, reduce downtime, and improve plant efficiency.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout, 5S standards, and safety rules.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3-5 years’ experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of training and experience
• Ability to interpret documents such as procedure manuals, blue prints, schematics, charts, diagrams, etc.
• Ability to use precision measuring devices including amp meters, electric meters, and hydraulic gauges
• Basic understanding of systems, equipment and schematics
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Good troubleshooting skills
• Basic mathematical skills used to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and use decimals and fractions
• Ability to perform work in a mature and professional manner, demonstrate personal responsibility, and perform all assigned duties
