Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform machine repairs, equipment installations, and routine troubleshooting within our Leominster, MA facility. You will balance daily work orders with urgent repairs while upholding GMP and environmental safety standards.

The role emphasizes independence, documenting inventory, writing work orders, and communicating with the team. You will perform PMs on all facility equipment, keep areas clean and safe, and log labor and parts

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Technical degree in maintenance-related field preferred.
• Experience solving mechanical and electrical issues in a manufacturing setting is expected.

Responsibilities

• Work with little to no supervision.
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Troubleshoot/repair conveyors, molding machines, and basic automation.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Build and perform minor building maintenance (plumbing, electrical, upkeep).
• Repair and assess electrical issues as they arise.
• Log labor and parts in CMMS; write new work orders for faults.
• Willing to overtime, including weekends and off-shifts.
• Understand safety PPE requirements and safety policies.
• Assist with PMs to achieve 100% completion.
• Audit LOTO procedures as required.

Job description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will execute machine repairs, equipment installations, and routine troubleshooting. In this role, you will balance daily work orders with urgent, unexpected repairs, while maintaining a strong commitment to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and environmental safety regulations. The ideal candidate operates with a high degree of independence, documents inventory, write workorders, and communicates seamlessly with the team. The qualified individual will perform routine PM’s on all the equipment in the facility, also keep the facility clean and safe. Will track all work and PM’s performed in the Central Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Identify and write a new workorder for any mechanical faults or oil leaks found while doing the PM’s. Responsibilities

• Work with little to no supervision.
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Troubleshoot/repair machinery such as conveyors, molding machines and basic automation.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Building maintenance including minor plumbing, electrical and general upkeep.
• Repair and assess electrical issues as they arise.
• Able to familiarize yourself with our CMMS system and log labor/parts according to established expectations.
• Willing to work overtime, including weekends and off-shifts as required.
• Understands quality, PPE requirements, safety, and the importance of complying with safety policies and procedures.
• Help perform PM’s with a goal of 100% completion.
• Audit LOTO procedures regularly as required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent - Technical degree in Maintenance related field preferred.
• 2 years minimum experience in Maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot.
• General PLC knowledge preferred.
• Experience with and ability to use all types of hand tools.
• Experience in high-speed packaging, welding, and mechanical power transmission preferred.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is required to stand for long periods of time, use arms and hands to feel or reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl on occasion, talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee may work with materials that could irritate eyes, skin, and breathing. Appropriate personal protective equipment is required. The employee will be working near and/or with high-speed automated equipment. This may cause risk of injury if safety procedures are not followed. The work environment is often noisy, and hearing protection is required.
