Job summary

Vital Farms is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the night shift to support a 12-hour, 2-2-3 schedule. You will work with the maintenance team on repairs, equipment installation, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Strong teamwork and safety focus are essential. Qualifications include 1+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting, with a preference for food/beverage industry knowledge.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of general maintenance experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment; food/beverage preferred.
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs frequently.
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform building repairs, equipment installation and maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and complete work orders promptly.
  • Maintain inventory, housekeeping, and safety/environmental compliance.

Job description

Maintenance Technician – Currently Hiring for Night Shift!

  • 2-2-3 schedule: 2-week cycle
  • Week 1: 2 days on / 2 days off / 3 days on
  • Week 2: 2 days off / 2 days on / 3 days off
  • Shifts: 12-hour shifts
  • Night Crew – 7pm to 7am

Pay Rate:

  • Night Crew - $29.00 per hour (+ $3.00 Shift Differential)

What You'll Do:

The Maintenance Technician will work with the Maintenance team to complete building repairs, equipment installation, troubleshooting and installation, fulfillment of assigned work orders and unforeseen repairs in a timely fashion. You’ll follow good manufacturing practices to maintain inventory, preventative maintenance, good housekeeping and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental laws and regulations. Important areas of operations you’ll work on (but are not limited to):

  • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearing, gears, and other parts of machinery
  • Install and maintain pipe systems, hydraulic steam, pneumatic equipment
  • Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and other related equipment
  • Building maintenance including minor plumbing, welding, and general upkeep

What You Bring to the Table:

  • 1+ years of General Maintenance Experience.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment & food/beverage experience is highly preferred
  • Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 60lbs.
  • High school diploma or GED is required, associated degree in relevant field preferred
  • Possess and demonstrate basic technical knowledge of some or all the following:
  • Stainless Steel Welding/Fabrication
  • Piping systems
  • Electricity
  • PLC’s (Programmable logic controllers) – a plus
  • Process control instrumentation
  • HVAC systems
  • Process equipment
  • Personal Computing
